Industry Report Energy Malaysia 2nd Quarter 2023

Malaysia's economy has now bounced back from the pandemic. The Economist Intelligence forecast that real GDP grew by 3.9% in 2023 and we expect average yearly growth of about 4.2% over the forecast period (2023-27), remaining slightly below pre-pandemic levels. They forecast that healthcare spending will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.6% in nominal local-currency terms over the five-year forecast period, remaining at 4.1% of GDP by 2027.
